Arpeg Farms

Ladner Farm

7225 Ladner Trunk Rd
Delta, BC

Situated at the intersection of Highway 99 and Highway 17 is the original Patric Burns farmstead. Built in 1908 by James Leonard of Delta, and later purchased by Arpeg in 1969.

Starting in 1967, Arpeg Farms began the process of obtaining permits to import Full French Charolais cattle to their farm in Crescent Beach. At the time, this made them only the second farm in Canada to raise this breed.

In 1969, they expanded their operations by purchasing the historic Burns Farm in Ladner, allowing them to grow their cattle business. By 1975, Arpeg Farms had won awards for the quality and pedigree of their farm-raised cattle.

Arpeg Farms continues to care for and preserve the historic Dunsmuir Barn and the original farmhouse in Crescent Beach.

The Burns ranch house remains under Arpeg Farms ownership.
